This special bit produces great results for the majority of horses and riders. The Sweet Iron increases salivation which stimulates the horses mouth therefore, will make the horse more comfortable. We have designed this mouthpiece to be ported which will provide tongue relief. The mouthpiece is not fixed between cheek pieces, instead the cheek pieces rotate 360 degrees. When used in conjunction with a rotating cheek pieces, we recommend the bit to sit snug in the horse's mouth to maximize the effect of the bit. This bit features a swivel mouthpiece that allows for horizontal rotation and allows the cheek piece to move independently. The main advantage of the swivel cheek piece is that the horse can set where it finds the mouthpiece most comfortable and removing tongue pressure.
