Beval and Swivel Bits

Filter

The Beval bit is a type of loose ring bit that has additional eyelets on the inside of the ring where the cheekpiece and rein are attached. It is comparable to a 2-Ring and 3-Ring snaffle but with a softer effect and less leverage. On the other hand, a Swivel bit is a variation of the Beval bit that slides along the cheekpiece, providing more control and maneuverability for the horse. The degree of sharpness or softness of the Beval or Swivel bit is determined by the type of mouthpiece, thickness, and material used in its construction.
